This solutions guide illustrates the use of using two Shelly Pro 3EM energy meters paired with Shelly Switch Add-on modules and 63 amp contactors. This solution enables users to meter and control two 240v appliances. The enclosure can be installed on the panel, or either inline or at the appliances if located together.

The Shelly Pro 3EM Switch Add-on module allows the 3EM to trigger contactor coils rated up to 2 amps.

Notes

  • 10  10 AWG gauge wire is used for the contactors. The terminal blocks selected support up to 6 AWG. A larger wire gauge requires larger terminal blocks and enclosure.

  • DSS10N-03P is preferred in this setup to jumper incoming DK10N-BK terminals.

Critical

  • The  The Shelly Pro 3EM is powered via a line connection to terminal C and should be used for single phase. Use A and C with split single phase or two phase. Use A, B, and C for three phases.
