Multi-switch Dimmer Synch Script and Instructions

https://github.com/ALLTERCO/shelly-script-examples/blob/main/n-way-dimmer.js

This solution allows you to use up to 5 Plus Wall Dimmer switches in a group to synchronize settings between all switches, with one switch directly controlling the light fixture.

If you wish to review the script before loading, please use the link above.

Note: You must assign a static IP address to all switches used in this configuration. See the link below for information on assigning a static IP.

Note: You may use up to 5 switches with this script (counting the primary switch controlling the fixture).

Instructions (after hardware setup is complete):

  1. Open the Shelly Smart Control app or https://control.shelly.cloud via browser

  2. Navigate to Shelly Plus Wall Dimmer

  3. Select the scripts menu

  4. Select “Open library”

  5. Select “n-way-dimmer.js”

  6. Select “Insert code”

  7. Modify the list of IP addresses on line 16 to match the IP addresses of your switches.

  8. Repeat steps 2-7 for each switch in the dimming group

Note: There is a slight delay in synchronization between each switch, By placing the main switch first in each group of IP addresses, there is no noticeable delay in lighting control.
