Step-by-Step Instructions
Mount the two Din Rails in the enclosure using the supplied hardware
Mount the Top Rail Components
A SS2 Spacer goes on the left end of the rail
The Shelly Pro 1 UL mounts next to the spacer on the left side
A SS2 Spacer mounts next to the Shelly Pro 1 UL holding it in place
A SS2 Spacer mounts roughly 1.5” away from the previous SS2 Spacer
The Shelly Contactor mounts up against the previous SS2 Spacer
A SS2 Spacer mounts next to the Shelly Contactor holding it in place
A DK2.5NC-PE ground terminal mounts towards the end of the right side of the din rail, you should have roughly ¼” of separation between in and the SS2 Spacer you just installed
The bottom connector of this terminal will connect to the ground output of the DK2.5NC-PE on the bottom rail
When the screws on the terminals are tightened the terminals will bite into the rails
Mount the following components to the bottom rail, in this order (from left to right)
SS2 Spacer
(1) DK10N-RD Terminal
The top connector on this terminal gets connected to the (R3) terminal of the contactor
(1) DK10N-BK Terminal
The top connector on this terminal gets connected to the (R1) terminal of the contactor
SS2 Spacer
This will hold the output terminals and connections in place
(2) DK10N-BK Terminals (connected by a two-position jumper)
One terminal of each will connect to the (L) terminal of the Shelly Pro 1 and the (R2) terminal of the contactor
The bottom terminal of one of these two terminals will be connected to the Phase A Line Voltage input
DK10N-RD Terminal
The top terminal will connect to the (R4) terminal of the contactor
The bottom terminal will be connected to the Phase B input
(2) DK10N Terminals (connected by a two-position jumper)
One terminal of each will connect to the (I) terminal of the Shelly Pro 1 and the (A2) terminal of the contactor
One of the bottom terminals will connect to the (N) terminal of the Shelly Pro 1 the other will be the Neutral input
SS2 Spacer
This will hold the completed terminal block in place
A DK2.5NC-PE ground terminal mounts towards the right-hand side of the rail
The top connector of this terminal will connect to the bottom connector of the DK2.5NC-PE terminal on the top rail, the bottom connector will connect to incoming ground
Tips & Tricks
Use wire appropriate to your application
Ground terminals need to be securely fastened to the rail
All wiring going in and out of the enclosure must pass through a strain relief
When routing wires in the enclosure zip ties and adhesive zip tie mounts can be helpful
Spacers should be used to not only hold devices in place but also to separate components
All screw terminals should be properly tightened, if you feel like you are using too much force, you are, and it will result in damaged components
Washers are included with the hardware to mount the din rails, these must be used
Using stranded wire of the appropriate size is generally preferable to using solid core.
